There are two references to white tea – the one that many Kiwi's grew up with which was black tea with a generous splash of milk added. Or the technically correct one which is a style of tea where the tea leaf has been minimally processed – it is basically plucked and air dried. Everything about it is delicate – the liquor is light in colour and flavour. A good pure white tea to start with is the White Peony, then progress to the highly prized Silver Needle – full bud style. White tea is refreshing and elegant. We offer flavoured white teas in Pomegranate. It is prized for its anti ageing properties and increasingly appears as an ingredient in luxury skin care products.
